What you can do

  • Ask about a selected paragraph, a whole section or the whole draft, and get three directions to choose from.
  • Preview a direction, add it to your draft, refine it with your own instruction, save it to your notes or dismiss it. Nothing changes in your draft until you choose.
  • Click a paragraph and choose Develop paragraph (or press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+D) to see three ways to develop it side by side, with the added words marked. Preview one in your draft, apply it, or keep your original.
  • Dictate your question to the assistant instead of typing it.
  • Ask for three new directions when none of the first ones fit.
  • Facing a blank page? Start by clarifying your research question, exploring three ways to outline your draft, or finding starting sources.
  • Ask for a review of your draft or one section: small edits for clarity, concision, cautious wording and grammar, and you accept only the ones you want.
  • Tell the AI your research goal, brief, audience and tone, and what it must leave alone, and see what it will see before you ask.
  • Find past conversations again: they are listed by date (Today, Yesterday, Earlier) and you can search them.
  • Turn brainstorming, structure or editing help on or off in your settings.
